Maestro has given many good songs on the “mother” theme. Equally so, he had given a number of soulful songs for the “child” theme. As is our wont, we usually discard the focus on the latter, for some unbeknownst reasons.
Not here at #365RajaQuiz. 🙂
Like yesterday, this song is also an excellent song of yesteryear, primarily pushed to the forefront by All India Radio.
To be fair, I lost touch with this song during my college days. Several years ago, when I laid my hands on a CD, I heard this song and pat came my memory. That’s the power of Maestro’s “child” themed songs.
In this song, the Mother is singing a laudatory song for her child. It has several rustic, folksy themes interwoven with a slightly Western sounding movement — all while the Maestro is cooking the interlude to a Motherly perfection.
As this song comes LIVE, I will be above the Atlantic Ocean. But, here, I am, typing this from the Indra Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Maestro’s 70th birthday.
Bye to all of you with love and warm greetings.
Have a nice week ahead.
