எல்லாரும் எப்படி இருக்கீங்க? கில்லியா இருப்பீங்க. கடந்த 2 நாளா பாட்டுகள் ஒரே குளுமையாக வந்ததை அனுபவித்து ஓய்ந்து போய் இருப்பீர்கள். அதனால், கொஞ்சம் மூளைக்கு வேலை கொடுக்கும்படியான சுலபமான க்ளூ தான் இன்று.
அதாவது, இதுவும் ஒரு டப்பிங்/ரீமேக் பட பாடல். ஒரிஜினல் மொழிப்படத்தில் இந்தப் பட பாடல்கள் பயங்கர ஹிட். ராஜாவுக்கு அங்கு மீண்டும் ஒரு புகழாரம் சூட்டப்பட்டு விருதுகள் கூட வாங்கித் தந்ததாக நினைவு. However, I cannot confirm the same as my memory is nebulous on that detail. ஆனால் தமிழில் வந்த போது, அவ்வளவாக எடுபடவில்லை என்றே நினைக்கின்றேன். நல்ல படம் என்று கேள்விபட்டிருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் தமிழில் வந்ததும் தெரியாது, போனதும் தெரியாது. இது குறித்து யாருக்காவது தெரிந்தால் சொல்லுங்கள்.
ஒவ்வொரு பாட்டும் இனிமையோ இனிமை. அதிலும் இந்தப் பாட்டில் தலைவரே அப்படி உருகி பாடியிருப்பார். நேற்றும் முன் தினமும் நனைந்தது வேறு மழை. இன்று நனைவது ஆன்மீகக் காதல் கமழும் காதல் டூயட் மழை.

Actually, the interlude you heard was encoded from my cassette. You won’t believe, where I got this cassette. It certainly was not in Coimbatore. I couldn’t find this cassette anywhere in Tamil Nadu. I finally got it in Bangalore in 1999.
I didn’t mention this specifically, as I didn’t want folks to guess if it could have been a Kannada movie 🙂
Hmm..i saw this cassetess in landmark in chennai, was waiting for cd, it also came but worst quality Even volume level will go down and up. Then i saw that saregama web site and bought, even the quality was same. Because of the quality, i used to avoid the songs

Very easy one. Before listening to the ciip, for a split second from the description I thought it was Anthapuram, as that was also sung by the IR and Chitra and also came during the same period, but the ‘divine’ duet easily took me to this song.
What a song! When everyone literally and heartlessly (I mean the listeners) dismissed IR and he comes up a heart-warming melodies like this in return instead. More than he loves music, he loves the listeners despite their hate. Who will do this? No one!
Thanks a lot Rex for choosing this song (and this soundtrack, every song is unparalleled) and making the day brighter. I can’t thank you enough for bringing these deserved ones which were terribly missed by the listeners.

I don’t know about the movie. But I very much know this album. I like two songs. Alli sundaravalli & end idhayam. I like the anger in the “en idhayam” song. Alli sundaravalli is simply amazing.
Though I’ve heard the above two songs I have not heard today’s quiz song much. So it was bit tough to find. Now I know why Deva says that we cannot ignore any of the songs because we never know what’s hidden in there.

Sriramane from Kangalin Vaarthiagal.. When this movie was released i guess around 1998 i was scrambling around to get the cassette/cd after hearing it in radio. This part of searching for newly released raja songs was newer new till now.

Ah! I think I found it! What a terror difficult quiz this edition was!
I was always thinking of Telugu dubbing movies last 2 days and didnt get a pidi at all.
Just now it struck me,
I was breaking my head on the Ramayana connection and suddenly while hearing Sri Rama Rama from Sri Rama Rajyam, Sriramane from Kangalin VaarthaigaL flashed thro.
Sriramane, unnai seedhai thedinAL. Immediately, checked the text clues for corroboration and this is what I find
1. First line reminding of Ramayana
2. Dubbed/Remade movie in Tamil
3. Original fetched him Karnataka State Award( my meory is also vague on this)
4. IR Sang it. With a aanmeega reference. The Kannada original is Omkaradhee kande…So, that’s the aanmiga kaadhal referenceAh?
In 1999, when Rex Arul started his internet Raja service, I remember badgering him to upload this movie’s songs.
On the movie, it starred Vikram in his pre-sethu struggling phase and Muktha Ramasamy’s son(or his brother Srinivasan’s) as heroes. Muktha scion garnered the more meaty role and made a hash of it while Vikram just had to support.
Both of them got to romance Kannada heavy-weight superstar actress Prema, who cut a sorry frame in Tamil(heavyweightna literal heavyweight)
I’ve seen the latter part of the movie in Kannada and seemed nothing special with a convoluted tale of friendship, love, betrayals, tiffs and a soppy climax when everyone gets together.

The climax, however, does end on a spicy note – Prema is famous for her sensuous streak in Kannada moviedom- with Prema aravaNaiching both ShivaRaj Kumar and Ramesh Arvind, one of them her lover, and another a friend who also fell in love with her and caused the melodrama in the later part of the movie. The gesture is one fo FriendsForever butWhy I remember is that inadvertently, the parting shot of the movie ends up a poster for dodgy malayalam movie with indication of a threesome
and orgy 🙂

But the songs in the movie are the real tale. A true blockbuster – the movie is remembered mainly for its music, the songs were a craze. Propah Kannada blockbuster. After a few years, superstar MDs from Tamil tried their hand in Kannada straight movies and cut a sorry figure, That way, Raja is the only one to have authentic all-time blockbuster musical hits in all 4 southern languages. The true dravidian composer!
(hint: By superstar MD, I dont mean Karthik Raja or Bhavadharini, both of whom did straight Kannada movies as composers 😉 )
