Connectivity can fail anytime and so pardon me if that happens.
Today’s song is a wonderful song. A “Father” lyricist wrote words of storge, while another great “Father” singer emotes this song with so much of passion that it can make anybody feel and reach out to their sons and daughters. Remember, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is also one such Father, who intimately understands the feeling of a Father. This kind of a song is not simple to score as he has done here.
This song also has a Pathos version. So, naturally the joyful version should have a pathos element and feel too. Right? You will get that here for sure, although this is supposedly a joyful version.
When the girl is small and the family is happy and everything is going well, a storm plays havoc in their family. In a fit of rage, the Father deals a death-blow to this child’s mother. This child is then affected by severe trauma thereafter that it starts to fear and hate its Father.
In other words, the child is “alienated” against its Father. What a tragedy!
This Father does not give up. He keeps going after his daughter without giving up.
No Father — no man of the right mind, body, and soul can give up on his Daughter (or son).
So, what can this Father do? He sings a song. What other situation can bring out the best from our beloved Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, the master story-teller with his stellar music? He rises up like a Titan.
In order to have a better story to tell, this song comes when the family was happy and united. But, this pathos element will leave a lump in your throat because Raaja will use this very joyful, daughter’s song, more effectively at a pathos situation.
Who knows, this very moment, many Fathers may be pursuing their life’s courses that always lead to their daughters. And Ilaiyaraaja’s music puts a spark in their souls. One never knows.
They are asking to shut the devices. So, bye for now. Good luck.
