It is a well-known, peppy as well as a melodious duet from Uma Ramanan and another noted singer 🙂
அருமையான இசைச் சேர்ப்பு இந்தப் பாடலின் அசைக்கமுடியாத ஒரு அடையாளம். நவீனமாகவும், நளினமாகவும் பயணிக்கும் இந்தப் பாடல், பயணங்களுக்கு மிகவும் உகந்தது என்று சொன்னால் அது மிகையாகாது. ஒரே சீரான தாளத்தில் பாடல் செல்ல, தொடக்க மற்றும் இடையிசைத் துணுக்குகள் மிகவும் peppyயாக இருக்கும். Synthன் உபயோகம் பாடலுக்கு பக்க பலமாக இருந்தாலும், ஒரே வகையான beatsன் மத்தியில் ஆங்காங்கே நுழையும் group violinsன் தாக்கம் தான் அட்டகாசம் என்றே சொல்ல வேண்டும். நேற்று solo violinன் அட்டகாசமான உபயோகத்தால் அசந்தோம் என்ற காரணத்தினால் தான், இன்று group violinsன் அட்டகாசத்துக்குள் உற்சாகமாக நுழைகின்றோம்.
இந்த இசைத் துணுக்கின் ஆரம்பத்தையே கவனித்தீர்கள் என்றால் இந்தப் பாடலின் அனைத்து சூட்சுமங்களையும் பிடித்துவிடலாம். ஆரம்ப percussionல் violins. பின்னர் synthன் சாத்தல் தொடங்கும்.
இந்தப் பாடல் வெளியான புதிதில் கவனிக்கப்பட்டதாக எனக்கு நினைவு இல்லை. பின்னர் இணையத்தில் புகழ் அடைந்திருந்தாலும், எனக்கு கோயமுத்தூர்-மேட்டுப்பாளையம் பேருந்துகளில், இந்தப் பாடலை அதிகம் கேட்டதாக faint memory உள்ளது 🙂

This song is very close to my heart. I still remember how I was demonstrating the orchestration of this song to my friends when they started comparing the new comer’s songs that time. I had recorded this film songs, araNmanai kiLi, chinna maaplE, kOyil kaaLai kiLi pEchu kEtkava songs in a cassette. That was the time my affinity towards Raja increased multi-fold, just because of these unnecessary comparisons. This was the time, I remember I recorded more number of cassettes/brought more cassettes like never before even searching for many non-commercial songs rigorously to fully surrender to his music. Wonderful time!

i have this cassette..:-) மொதவாட்டி இந்தப் பாட்ட YT-ல தான் பார்த்தேன். அதுவும் இப்போ :-)..மிஸ்.சென்னையின் ஆடலழகில் மெய் மறந்தேன்..அந்த குருடன் கண்ணாடி போட்டவர் ஊடால வந்து கெடுக்கிறார் யுவர் ஆனர்..0:28-ல இருந்து தலைவர் இழுத்து வச்சி குத்தி இருக்கார்…

“உந்தனின் பாடல் என்னை எங்கோ கொண்டு செல்ல..” உமா ரமணன், மனோ குரல்களில் “ராக்காயி கோயில்” படப்பாடல். நல்ல rhythmic பாடல், எப்போது கேட்டாலும் துள்ளல் போட வைக்கும் 🙂
எனக்கு இப்பாடலை பள்ளி காலங்களில் பேருந்தில்/டீக்கடைகளில் கேட்டதாகத்தான் நினைவு, படத்தையும் பாடலையும் இன்று வரை பார்த்ததில்லை. “சென்னை ஐ – முறுக்கு புகழ்” ஹீரோவும் மிஸ்.சென்னையும் நடனம் என்கிற பெயரில் நன்றாக காமெடித்தான் செய்கிறார்கள் 😉 நல்ல நக்கலான LL clue – Miss Madras & the Madras Eye Glass – Whatta Pun ;-), ரூம் போட்டு யோசிப்பிங்களோ? 🙂

Not too difficult. Miss Madras-na Mother Tirisavum mAngottai kasthuriyum dhAn gnAbagam varudhu. evLo yOsichAlum cant remember a Uma Ramanan song for them.
Now that Thiraipaadal database is back, Uma Ramanan songs can be checked there, and yields only 3 pages:

Quick perusal of the list leads to Nil Nil Nil from Paattu paadavaa, and I realise that memory plays tricks. For, Lavanya was a miss madras, too, and probably, the only Miss Madras who was in my neighbourhood during school days, so quite famous as ‘adhO andha pONNu dhANdA miss madras’.
Amazing that when I was calculating miss madrases at the start of this post, i could only think of Tirisa and Shanmati, then.
The text clues quite match with my memory of Nil Nil Nil. So, that must be the answer
