I am sure you would have followed the prelude I posted on Twitter earlier about today’s clue.
It is a movie BGM. Don’t worry. This one, I promise, will be very easy. All you need is to just close your eyes and listen to this with decent speakers and headphones: This track was encoded, noise-removed pretty extensively so that you will not hear any hissing noise and the bass and depth — especially on the violin sequence — will be an excellent feast to hear.
So, let us focus on the clue itself. The very beginning has one of the wonderful sax sequences in a BGM score 🙂 While Sax is used predominantly for romantic themes, you can sense that this is some high-tension fight sequence. And here starts Raaja, with his creative best. And pay attention to those wonderful guitars that complement the vengeful Sax!
Now, comes the group violin sequence that angrily marches into a louder, percussion theme. Within seconds, a bugle and trumpet sequence steps in, snatches from the previous sequence and leads on its own to an angry violin group sequence. The best part is that, this also has a haunting flute sequence accompanying it. While this magic is going on, the group trumpets and group violins are facing-off against each other with a majestic clash!
While this clash of the titans (i.e., trumpets and violins) is taking place, unexpectedly the entire piece segues into a solo flute piece, beautifully, soulfully, literally melting all of our hearts at that very instant. Watch out for 1:44 marker, where this magic happens. Folks, tell me! Have you ever seen so much variety, not for variety’s sake, but, for the impact that, that very moment leaves an indelible impression in your hearts forever in life? This is one such BGM.
And wait! It is not over. The magic is not over. Did you see, how Raaja takes off from that solo flute piece to a gradual crescendo of group violins? This magic happens at 2:22.
And wait, once again. It is not over even now. It is Raaja! He wants to soak you with every single emotion that this scene requires. He segues yet again from the group-violins he took off at 2:22 to a solo-violin sequence. This magic happens at 2:48.
I once left this comment on the internet. This BGM is something that reminds me of what I wrote then 🙂 “இசைஞானி இளையராஜாவால் தான் நிறைய பேருக்கு மாரடைப்பு நோய் வராமல் இருக்கிறது என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது.”
